What to expect from a Kripalu yoga class
Classes begin with gentle warmup movements and
breath awareness to prepare you for yoga postures. The heart of
each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen and
balance your body. Each class ends with deep relaxation and meditation.
You can expect to feel more relaxed, uplifted, energetic, and focused
after class.
About Kripalu Yoga
Kripalu's approach to yoga practice is unique,
integrating the rigor of traditional yoga with advances in contemporary
health science and psychology. Great emphasis is placed on safety and
deriving the greatest physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits
from your practice. Your physical body will become stronger, more
flexible and balanced. Your mind will become calmer and more focused.
You will learn to befriend and listen to your body, discovering from
your own direct experience which practices (on and off your yoga mat)
support your well-being and growth. The tools of Kripalu yoga awaken
the life force that in yoga we call prana. This initiates a natural
process of healing, growth, and transformation, revealing the vitality,
goodness, and beauty that lie within each of us. [some content

"The human body is the holder of all secrets,
the teller of truths.
And when the truths are revealed – good or not so good – they
are gifts.
Yoga is a path of awareness. When we gain awareness we have choice.
Seeing a pattern that creates pain, do I want to keep it or let
it go?
Can I decide on a new course of action by inviting in a new way
of thinking?
The value of yoga is not just instretching the muscles but in
stretching the mind."
